Fire damages several vehicles, building in Trotwood

TROTWOOD — UPDATE @ 3 p.m. (4/21):

Crews spent part of Wednesday evening battling a fire involving multiple buildings and cars.

Montgomery County Regional dispatch confirmed crews were called to respond to the fire in the 4900 block of North Union Road around 9 p.m.

According to Trotwood Fire Marshall Jeffrey Hilvers, a person was driving by when they saw flames coming from behind the building.

When crews arrived on scene they saw fire in the back building on the property and multiple cars on fire.

News Center 7 check back in with the Trotwood Fire Department Thursday afternoon and learned that seven vehicles were damaged in the fire. Fire officials said the damage was estimated to be worth $75,000.

The fire was considered out around 11:30 p.m., more than two hours after it was originally reported.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to Trotwood fire officials.
