Suspect uses same note in robbery attempts at Dayton Fifth Third, Key banks

UPDATE @ 4 p.m.

An attempted bank robbery suspect handed the same note to two banks within 10 minutes, Dayton police said.

The female suspect around 3:15 p.m. entered Fifth Third Bank, 1032 Patterson Road, and handed employees a note. She fled before getting any money.

Police said 10 minutes earlier, the suspect handed the same note to employees at Key Bank, 4000 Linden Ave. In that robbery attempt, the suspect also fled empty-handed.

Police have not yet provided a description of the suspect.

FIRST REPORT

A second location of Fifth Third Bank in Dayton has been robbed in just a matter of days.

Around 3:15 p.m, the Fifth Third Bank at 1032 Patterson Road was reportedly robbed by a female suspect.

A Fifth Third Bank in downtown Dayton was robbed July 17. Police are still looking for that suspect.
