A person struck with shrapnel tonight is seriously injured.
CareFlight has been called for the accident victim in the 5400 block of Engle Road near West Alexandria, the Preble County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
The incident was reported around 7:30 p.m., when someone apparently shooting at a recreational vehicle led shrapnel to strike a person nearby.
