Woman threatens to burn down house, arrested for OVI, report shows

HUBER HEIGHTS — A woman accused of threatening to burn a woman’s house down was arrested a short time later after police found her allegedly driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, according to a police report.

Amber Legge, 32, of Piqua, was arrested by Huber Heights police in the near the intersection of Old Troy Pike and Taylorsville Road after they received a report of an OVI driver around 3:15 a.m. Friday, the police report read.

Legge was said to have left a home on Hubbard Drive after demanding money she was reportedly owed, the report indicated. An argument with a resident was reported during the confrontation.

“(The victim) indicated that Legge then returned to her residence...began calling her a ‘dope friend’, threatened to beat her, burn her house down, and contact Children’s Services,” the report read.

A second witness also reported that Legge threatened to burn the victim’s house down, according to the report.

Legge then fled the residence and was pulled over by Huber Heights police in the area of Old Troy and Taylorsville.

Legge was booked into jail on suspicion of OVI and aggravated menacing.
