Damage in CARSTAR fire in Troy could top $1 million

UPDATE @ 3:02 p.m. (Feb. 28): Troy firefighters said they wouldn't be surprised if the damage from the CARSTAR fire tops a million dollars.

The cause is listed as undetermined but is not suspicious, investigators said.

The fire occurred in the southeast corner of the business near two paint operations at the facility.  Five RVs were being held at the location to be painted.

The business’ owner hopes to be back to normal operations by the end of the week.
