Trotwood home destroyed after a garage fire started Saturday afternoon

TROTWOOD — A garage fire left a home a total loss Saturday around 12:40 p.m. on Bloomfield Drive.

Crews on scene reported heavy smoke and flames showing in the garage.

Investigators are looking into the possibility of an electric or car related issue as they work to learn the cause.

The Trotwood Fire Captain told News Center 7 that the fire had already spread through the front glass of the living room when they arrived.

Englewood, Harrison Twp., Clayton, Dayton, and Trotwood all responded to the initial call.

Everyone made it out of the home safely.
