A couple rounds of showers and storms today will affect the Miami Valley.
A powerful spring storm system moved through the Central Plains Wedneday night produced strong to severe storms in that region. The storms spread eastward into the Mississippi Valley Wednesday night and will move into the lower Ohio and Tennessee valleys today.

Showers and storms expected to redevelop in our warm and moist environment for late day and mainly for the evening hours. Storms could become severe with some of the western Miami Valley under and "Enhanced Risk" for severe storms.

Damaging winds will be the main threat but large sized hail or even an isolated tornado can't be ruled out. We look to be the most active from 5 p.m. through midnight. Some scattered showers then overnight into early Friday.

Stay "weather aware" for the evening hours with the threat for severe storms.
Showers and a few storms will still be possible into Friday, but the severe weather threat will rapidly decrease early Friday morning.
