Crews describe pedestrian hit by car in Versailles as elderly woman

The pedestrian struck by a car earlier this evening was described as an elderly woman by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office dispatch.

The woman was flown to Miami Valley Hospital after she was hit by a car just after 5 p.m. in the 500 block of East Wood Street in the village of Versailles.

The woman’s name and condition was not available. The Versailles Police Department is handling the investigation, the sheriff’s office said.

A pedestrian was struck by a car this evening in Darke County.

The crash was reported shortly after 5 p.m. in the 500 block of East Wood Street in Versailles, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office dispatch.

A CareFlight medical helicopter was called, and was set to land at the YMCA in Versailles, the sheriff’s office said.
