Motorcyclist killed in collision with pickup truck in Darke County

A Piqua motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a pickup truck on U.S. Route 36 at Stahl Road in Gettysburg Thursday afternoon.

David Wray, 54, was traveling west on U.S. Route 36 on his Harley Davidson about 5:47 p.m. when a pickup truck pulled into the intersection while attempting a left turn on U.S. Route 36 from Stahl, according to the Darke County Sheriff's Office.

Wray’s motorcycle slammed into the rear driver's side of a Chevy Silverado, driven by 57-year-old Darla Rench of Arcanum. She was treated at the scene.

Wray was treated at the scene before he was was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital where he died, according to the sheriff's office.

The accident remains under investigation, according to the sheriff's office.
