Two dogs killed from fire on Kerwood Drive in Kettering

KETTERING — UPDATE @ 4:30 p.m.

Kettering fire crews have extinguished a house fire on Kerwood Drive in Kettering. Fire crews pulled three dogs from the house and two of them have died according to the Kettering Fire Department.

The residents of the house were not home at the time of the fire and damage is estimated at $10,000-$15,000.

A fire investigator is headed to the scene and cause of the fire is currently unknown.

FIRST REPORT: 

A fire has been reported this afternoon on Kerwood Drive in Kettering.

Firefighters responded to the house in the 2900 block around 3:40 p.m.

Initial reports from crews on the scene indicated smoke was showing from the house.
