Fire causes extensive damage to Beavercreek house

Beavercreek — Beavercreek Fire crews have extinguished a fire on Enochs Drive that caused heavy damage to a residence late Thursday afternoon. The fire was first reported by a member of the residence when he arrived home from school and the Beavercreek Fire Department said smoke was showing from the first floor when they reached the scene.

According to Beavercreek Township Deputy Fire Chief Scott Dorsten no one was inside the house at the time of the fire and no injuries were sustained.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and Dorsten said he did not have an exact cost of damage.
