BROOKVILLE — UPDATE @ 12:30 p.m.
A 45-year-old Brookville man who was killed early this morning in a crash on an Interstate 70 ramp has been identified.
Ronald Salyer was pronounced dead at the scene after he drove his 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck off the roadway and struck the back of a parked semi on the westbound I-70 exit ramp to Arlington Road in Brookville, Sgt. Jeff Kramer of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Dayton Post said.
The semi driver, identified as 32-year-old Joshua Boyce of Como, Mississippi, was hauling a food product. He was not injured but the impact heavily damaged his truck, Kramer said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

A man is dead after the car he was driving rear-ended a semi on an I-70 westbound ramp Saturday morning.
Crews were dispatched to the crash around 2:15 a.m., according to Sgt. Jeff Kramer at the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Dayton Post.
The 45-year-old was killed when he went off of the highway and hit the back of a semi parked on the ramp to Arlington Road.
Kramer said the man was the only occupant in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi driver was uninjured in the crash but his truck was heavily damaged, according to Kramer.
Troopers will release the victim's identity once family has been notified.
