Fire destroys 2-story garage in Dayton Monday morning

DAYTON — Fire caused significant damage to a two-story garage on Pleasant Avenue in Dayton early Monday morning.

Firefighters were called to the 300 block of Pleasant Avenue around 1 a.m. and reported the garage was fully engulfed in flames, initial reports indicates.

District Fire Chief Christopher Kinzeler told our crews that the garage adjacent to the burning garage had exposure to the fire, but crews on the scene quickly stopped it from spreading.

Kinzeler mentioned the neighborhood had a power outage earlier in the night; possibly linking the two.

No injuries were reported in the fire.
