The first car fire was reported near the Hollywood Gaming casino on Needmore Road around noon.

Jason White, who works near the casino, told our crew he spotted smoke coming from the car as he was driving himself to lunch.

White said he helped the woman get out of the car before fire started to overtake the engine compartment.

“I don’t think she realized (the car) was about to explode, or catch fire. I think she thought it was just overheating,” White told News Center 7.

No injuries were reported and the woman was able to safely escape.

“I hope somebody would do it for anyone I love,” White said.

Minutes after the car fire broke out near the casino, firefighters were called to the Montgomery County administration parking garage, near Vista View Drive and West Second Street.

A fire started in the engine compartment of a contractor van and was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

Other nearby vehicles were damaged by the fire, but no injuries were reported.
