Cars stripped of tires, windows smashed at Dayton car dealership

Dayton police are investigating after thieves reportedly stole the tires from three cars in the White Allen parking lot. 

Police were dispatched to the dealership in the 600 block of North Main Street around 1:40 p.m. on a report of three damaged cars, according to dispatchers.

Officers arrived to find three vehicles on concrete blocks with missing wheels and busted windows.

A store representative could not be reached for comment as Dayton police investigate.

Executive Boulevard is blocked in both directions in Huber Heights after a construction crew struck a gas line Thursday morning. 

Vectren crews have been requested to the scene to isolate the leak, according to initial reports. 

Dispatchers said there have been no reports of evacuations in the area.

A fire has been reported on North Terry Street this morning.

Firefighters responded to an address in the first block of North Terry around 11 a.m.

Police are investigating a report of an armed robbery at a Dayton auto parts store Thursday morning. 

TRENDING: “SHS” school threat believed to have originated in Springfield, police chief says

Officers were dispatched to the AutoZone at 3818 West Third Street around 10:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 call from the business. 

Initial reports indicate two men, armed with guns, robbed the store before fleeing in a car. 

There have been no initial reports of injuries.

The lockdown at Fairborn High School has been lifted after police checked the building following a threat made on social media involving “SHS.”

Fairborn High School is on a precautionary lockdown this morning on recommendation from police after various threats have been talked about in the area, school officials said.

The lockdown was in place at 7:50 a.m. and officials said there are no specific threats targeting the district.
