Police respond to alarm, find juveniles inside store

DAYTON — Three juveniles were caught inside the Dollar General, 2312 N. Main St., after police responded to a burglary alarm at the store.

The alleged breaking and entering happened shortly before 10 p.m. Friday, according to the Dayton police report.

Police said the three 14-year-olds who were arrested — two males and a female —were found inside the store.

The first officer on scene discovered the rear door was unsecure. When he pulled it open, one of the suspects was standing inside. Police said he was wearing a Halloween mask with gray sweats and a hooded sweatshirt.

Officers searched the store and found the other two suspects hiding in the stock room, according to the report.

Police said the three had been putting merchandise in two black bookbags that were found on the floor.
