HUBER HEIGHTS — A man told police he was handling a gun tonight when it fired, striking his hand.
The Kettering Health Network’s Huber Heights emergency room reported the shooting to police around 9:45 p.m. after the gunshot victim arrived.
The victim was a visitor to a home on Shore Drive in Huber Heights who told police he was looking at his friend’s gun when they said it accidentally went off, said Huber Heights police Sgt. Frank Crouse, who added that no alcohol or drugs were involved.
