UPDATE @ 5:45 p.m.: Detectives are studying surveillance video from businesses near Play-N-Win Entertainment to learn more about the robber who made off with an undetermined amount of cash, Dayton Sgt. Creigee S. Coleman said.
Police were dispatched to the address on a robbery-in-progress call. The clerk told police the suspect, who actually waited in line, stepped to the counter and handed her a note that read, in effect, "give me all the money," Coleman said.
The clerk did as she was instructed and handed over cash. The man left in an unknown direction.
"There was no weapon displayed, but we're not sure if this person is armed," Coleman said.
He said the business appears to be some type of gaming establishment.
"We went there for the particular crime," the sergeant said. "We didn't necessarily go around and view what was going on inside the establishment."
If you have information about the robbery or know something that can help police, you are asked to contact police at 333-COPS or Miami Valley Crime Stoppers at 222-STOP.
