3 jailed, drugs and cash seized in county task force raids

Three men are being detailed in jail on felony drug trafficking charges following a raid on two Dayton addresses Monday that turned up "a large quantity" of drugs and "several thousand dollars" in cash.

The Montgomery County RANGE Task Force, armed with two search warrants, seized approximately 12 pounds of crystal meth, "a large quantity" of heroin and marijuana as well as cash from a residence in the 50 block of Glenwood Avenue and another residence in the 1400 block of Tampa Avenue.

According to the sheriff's office, in a statement released tonight, the raids ended a "large scale drug trafficking investigation."

The statement from the sheriff's office does not offer details about the amount of cash, heroin and marijuana seized, the length of the investigation or what led task force detectives to raid the addresses today.

The three men detained pending the filing of drug trafficking charges are:

* Donald Mills, 26. Online jail records do not indicate when or when Mills was arrested.

* Donald Smith, 33. According to online jail records, Smith was arrested about 3 p.m. at the Glenwood address.

* Robert Goodson, 35. He was arrested about 5 p.m. at the Glenwood address, according to online jail records.
