VIDEO: Pandas get into mischief

Playing between mother and kids is always great fun for humans as well as for giant pandas. Video clips from the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in southwest China's Sichuan Province show how they enjoy the great fun.

In the first footage, Ya Zhu sneaks behind bamboos near a trench to play hide and seek with its mother. However, as the bamboo bush was too close to the trench, Ya Zhu found it hard to keep balance on the steep slope. The baby rolled down the slope but still successfully hid itself and won the game.

Another clip showed mother Qi Fu joyfully played with its baby. The mother lay down on a wooden platform and put the cub on its belly, constantly kissing it with great love.

The uncontrollable urge to want what one cannot have has really struck a chord in one baby panda at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in southwest China's Sichuan Province Thursday.

Another video from the base's giant panda enclosure shows a clingy Yazhu tightly holding on to her favorite breeder like glue as he tries set up lunch for Yazhu and her family.

All the needy baby wanted was love from her breeder, but he wasn't having any of it. He dragged the attention seeking baby five steps towards the rest of the bamboo feast already prepared for them, and only stopped to give her the love she wanted so badly after placing the last bamboo bundle down.

The breeder reached down and grabbed Yazhu by the neck and carried a satisfied baby on to the wooden ladder of her play set.
