Major Highway Incidents

  • On eastbound I-70 near Rt. 72 in Springfield Township, firefighters were dispatched around 7:40 a.m. on a reported car fire. Traffic sensors were reporting some slowdowns in the area.
  • On U.S. 35 near Jamestown, a crash involving a semi and multiple vehicles is impacting traffic on both the eastbound and westbound sides. State troopers said the semi lost a tire and a few vehicles then hit the semi. No injuries reported.

Surface Street Incidents

  • On North Main Street about a half-mile from East Franklin Street in Centerville, a crash with injuries was reported around 6:40 a.m.

Ongoing Construction & Other Closures

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

  • I-70 between I-75 and Taywood Road,Nightly lane closures September 19th – October 2nd between 8 pm and 6 am. One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • US 35 between Union Road and Preble County Line Road, Daily lane closures September 6th – 30th between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm. One lane will be open for travel in each direction through the use of flaggers.
  • SR 48 between I-675 and Franklin Street,Nightly lane closures September 19th – October 1st between 7 pm and 6 am. One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • SR 48 between Savina Avenue and Wenger Road,lane closures May 9th – September 30th. One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • The Webster Street bridge is closed as it is rebuilt. A detour will take motorists to Keowee Street to Monument Avenue. The project is scheduled to be completed in November of 2017
  • I-75 northbound ramp to US 35 westbound, ramp closed until Oct. 31. The official detour is I-75 north to U.S. 35 east to Jefferson Street to Washington Street to Ludlow Street to U.S. 35 west.
  • East River Road between Dryden Road and Arbor Boulevard, road closure August 1st – October 10th.The official detour is: Dryden Road to Arbor Boulevard to East River Road
  • Third Street between Edwin C. Moses Boulevard and Perry Street, lane closures through September. One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • I-70 between Airport Access Road and SR 48, lane addition project. Two lanes open in each direction. Motorists will encounter barrels and construction in this area.
  • The ramp from U.S. 35 eastbound to I-75 northbound, ramp closed through September 2017. Motorists will be able to utilize the specially designed U-turn lane located at the Edwin C. Moses Boulevard exit.
  • Robert Drive between Fifth Street and Third Street, road closure through September of 2017. The detour is Southbound — Perry Street to Fourth Street, Northbound — Fifth Street to Wilkinson.
  • The First Street, Second Street and Third Street ramps along I-75 northbound and southbound, are permanently closed. A newly constructed ramp is scheduled to open to motorists in the downtown area in December of 2016. The official detour during these ramp closures is: I-75 North to U.S. 35 East to Jefferson Street to First and Third streets. Motorists can also use Main Street or Edwin C. Moses Boulevard.
  • Vista View Drive between Second Street and Third Street, road closed through September of 2017. Detour posted.
  • Red Cross Lane between First Street and Gibbs Lane, road closed through September 2016. The official detour is: First Street to Perry Street to Second Street to Red Cross Lane.

MIAMI COUNTY

  • I-75 between CR 25A (Piqua) and US 36, nightly lane closures September 12th – October 1st between 7 pm and 7 am. One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • SR 589 between SR 55 and Troy-Urbana Road, bridge closure September 20th – October 11th.The official detour is: SR 55 to SR 235 to US 36 to SR 589
  • Statler Road between Cromes Drive and Free Road,road closure September 13th – June 15th, 2017. The official detour is: Cromes Drive/Looney Road to US 36 to Troy-Sidney Road to Statler Road.
  • Water Street at intersection of Market Street, road closure June 5th – October 15th. Water will only be closed at the intersection. Local detour will be posted.
  • I-75 south ramp to CR 25A near Troy, ramp closed March 21 through Oct. 28. The official detour is I-75 south to SR 41 to I-75 north to CR 25A.
  • I-75 at CR 25A (Troy), width restrictions March 29 through Oct. 31. Northbound lanes will be restricted to 13 feet. Southbound lanes will be restricted to 12 feet. Two lanes will remain open in each direction with one northbound lane shifted to the southbound side and one northbound lane operating on the northbound side. Two southbound lanes will also be open on the southbound side.

GREENE COUNTY

  • Bridge deck replacement means a temporary signal on U.S. 68 over Painters Creek, just north of the Greene/Clinton line, beginning June 20. The temporary signal will be used to maintain one lane of two-way traffic on U.S. 68 through October.
  • The SR 380 bridge over U.S. 35 in Xenia will be closed until at least October 31. Arrow boards and signs will direct drivers to the detour using SR 73 and U.S. 42.
  • U.S. 68 from Brush Row Road to the Clark County Line, overnight lane closures from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. from August 1 through September. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers and arrow boards.

CLARK COUNTY

  • SR 4 between Prairie Road and Baldwin Lane, bridge closure September 14th – October 4th. The official detour is: SR 40 to SR 54 to SR 4
  • Enon Road Ramp to SR 4 south, ramp closure September 7th – October 5th. The official detour is: SR 4 to SR 369 to SR 4
  • SR 4 between I-70 and Enon Road, Lane closures September 7th – October 5th. One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Columbia Street at Upper Valley Pike,road closure September 14th – October 14th. The road will only be closed at intersection of Upper Valley Pike.
  • Moorefield Road between Old Mechanicsburg Road and Grant Road, bridge closure through Sept. 24. The official detour is: SR 4 to Croft Road to Old Columbus Road to Mahar Road.

DARKE COUNTY

  • SR 47 between Union City Corp limit and SR 118, Lane closures September 12th – 30th. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction through the use of flaggers.
  • US 36 between Indiana State line and SR 121, Lane closures September 12th – 30th. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction through the use of flaggers.
  • SR 49 between Hollansburg-Sampson Road and Pitsburg-Laura Road,bridge closure September 6th- 27th. The official detour is: SR 49A
  • Center Street between North Greenlawn Avenue and East Water Street,bridge closure July 11th – October 31st.The official detour is: East Wood Street to North West Street to SR 185 to Vista Drive to Baker Road.
  • County Wide Guardrail repairs at various locations along SR 47, SR 49, SR 118, SR 121 and US 36.Various lane closures August 15th – October 31st between 7 am and 5 pm. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction through the use of flaggers.

MERCER COUNTY

  • SR 29 between Portland Street and US 127,Lane closures September 12th – October 15th. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction through the use of flaggers.
  • SR 49 between SR 29 and SR 707,Various lane closures June 27th – September 29th between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction.

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY

  • Districtwide chip and seal project on Logan SR 287, Champaign SR 29, Champaign SR 245, Champaign SR 559 and Clark SR 41. Various lane closures April 18 – Sept. 30 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction through the use of flaggers.

SHELBY COUNTY

  • SR 47 between I-75 and Vandemark Road,Daily lane closures April 27th – September 30th between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY

  • SR 66 between SR 29 and Deep Cut Road,Daily lane closures September 19th – October 31st between 7 am and 6 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • US 33 between Wapak-Fisher Road and SR 65, Daily lane closures September 12th – October 15th between 7 am and 6 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction.
