All lanes of SB I-75 reopen from earlier crash in Dayton

UPDATE @ 7:55 a.m.

Police have reopened all lanes of southbound I-75 at U.S. 35 in Dayton after an earlier crash.

The pickup truck split in two pieces, and briefly caught fire. Police said the driver was not injured.

UPDATE @ 7:35 a.m.

One of the vehicles involved in the crash has reportedly caught fire, according to police scanner traffic.

It is unknown when the highway will reopen.

FIRST REPORT

All lanes of southbound I-75 are blocked at U.S. 35 in Dayton due to a reported crash.

Crews were dispatched around 6:50 a.m. on a reported crash with injuries.

Traffic is backed up in the area past the Main Street exit on I-75.
