2 dead after plane crash in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY — Two people are dead after a plane crash in Madison County Tuesday.

Around 6:30 p.m. a plane crashed at the Madison County Airport in London, Ohio State Highway Patrol told our news partners at WBNS.

Two people were aboard the plane and both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities believe they were trying to land the plane when it crashed, according to WBNS.

The plane is a single-engine Cessna, according to the flight-tracking website FlightAware.

The identity of those who died has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
