Flash Flood Watch issued for area

Tonight, more thunderstorms will roll throught the Miami Valley, according to StormCenter 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek. “This evening,” he said, “The main threat will be flash flooding.”

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until Thursday.

“Many of these showers will be scattered, as opposed to a solid line that affected the entire area this morning,” said Wirdzek. “Also, the threat for damaging winds will be lower with these, especially after sunset. However, the threat for flash flooding will increase as more torrential rain is possible over water-logged grounds. Temps will be in the mid to upper 60s.”

Later tonight, Wirdzek says the storms will move east and we will get a break late. Lows in the low 60s.
