Tornado, storms leave widespread damage

Tuesday’s tornado and heavy thunderstorms left behind widespread damage. Here is a timeline of damage reports received:

• 6:18 p.m.: In Beavercreek, on Walbridge Trail, the roof of a home was severely damaged.
• 6:06 p.m.: In Dayton, on North Halloway Street, trees and wires were reported down.
• 5:51 p.m.: In Beavercreek, along Kensington Glen near Grange Hall Road, trees were reported down.
• 5:32 p.m.: In Beavercreek, at the Greene Crossing Shopping Center, vehicles were toppled in high wind. The National Weather Service later confirmed it was a tornado.
• 5:18 p.m.: In Middletown, on Malvern Avenue, wires were reported down.
• 5:17 p.m.: In Dayton, in the 1800 block of Darst Avenue, wires were reported down.
• 5:16 p.m.: In Dayton, on Ashland Avenue, a tree was down and hit a house. No one was injured.
• 5:03 p.m.: Near Eaton, in Preble County, Pat Dawson said high winds blew the roof of his parent's barn on their farm at Minnich-Wysong and Eaton Lewisburg roads. He said farm equipment inside and other property were not damaged, but barn was leaning sideways heavily and will have to come down.
• 4:18 p.m.: In Riverside, on Guernsey Dell Avenue, a tree was been blown down and is blocking the street. No one was hurt. In Piqua, a tree was reported down in the 1800 block of Washington Avenue.
• There were earlier reports of high winds overturning patio furniture and part of a privacy fence in Eaton, a tree down in West Milton.
