Rain and a thunderstorm are possible tonight and Wednesday night and then there will be a cool down for the weekend, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek said Tuesday evening.
An area of light rain will slowly work into the area from the southwest through the evening. Temps will fall into the low 40s. Scattered showers will arrive ahead of a warm front. There may be enough instability to allow for a thunderstorm. Temperatures will climb to near 50 by sunrise.
Wednesday: Scattered showers possible through morning as the warm front lifts to the north. The breeze will pick up out of the southwest and there will be more sun into the afternoon. Highs will reach the mid-60s.
A cold front will approach from the west on Wednesday night, creating a large area of rain and embedded thunderstorms. No severe weather is expected, but heavy rain is possible. Lows in the mid-50s.
Thursday: Look for heavy rain and possibly a thunderstorm during the morning commute. The cold front will push through late morning, ending the rain and allowing temperatures to fall through the 40s into the afternoon.
Friday: Mostly cloudy and colder with a passing rain or snow shower. Highs near 40.
Saturday: High pressure will bring sunny skies, but it will be chilly with highs near 40.
Sunday: More clouds arrive with a few showers late in the day. Highs in the mid-40s.
