Woman escapes fire; neighbors and firefighters save her pets

A woman climbs out her bedroom window to escape a fire at her apartment.

Neighbors rescued her dog and firefighters saved her cat.

She was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

The cat was being treated at the Town and Country Animal Clinic in Fairborn. It also suffered smoke inhalation and was burned.

Firefighters stopped the flames from spreading to other units on Roseanne Court around 9:15 a.m.

They are investigating what started the fire.
