4 rescued in fall off cliff at Clifton Gorge

UPDATE @ 10 a.m. June 24:

Kelli Brown of Miamisburg told WHIO’s Layron Livingston Tuesday night that she drove her cousin and a friend to Clifton Gorge to do some cliff diving after they saw postings about it on social media.

When the group arrived, two other females were already there to do the same thing, Brown said.

“In all honesty, I didn’t really think much of it. I didn’t think that they’d get hurt,” Brown said. “I wanted them to have fun. If I could go back in time I would never do it.”

Miami Twp. Greene County fire and rescue crews worked for more than two hours to rescue the females.

“Had she fallen two days ago, she probably would have been swept down river,” said Miami Twp. Fire Chief Colin Altman.

UPDATE @ 10 p.m.: The four had gone to Clifton Gorge to do some cliff jumping, inspired by something they had seen on Instagram, we're told. One of the four fell and the other three tried to help, but couldn't get to her.

UPDATE @ 8:22 p.m.: We're told that four people are being rescued at Clifton Gorge and that one of them has been injured.
