Dayton warming centers open

The city of Dayton has opened warming centers today that will remain open through Saturday because colder temperatures and wind chills are forecast for much of the week.

The warming centers are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The centers are:

Greater Dayton Recreation Center, 2021 W. Third St.;

Northwest Recreation Center, 1600 Princeton Ave.;

Lohrey Recreation Center, 2366 Glenarm Ave.
