Duke restoring power to customers

UPDATE @ 9:50 a.m.:

Most power has been restored, according to the Duke Energy outage map. About 280 customers south of Middletown east of Trenton are without power.

FIRST REPORT:

Duke Energy is reporting a power outage north and west of Middletown, affecting about 3,000 customers.

The problem was first reported around 8:30 a.m., and the Duke website estimates the power may be restored by 10:30 a.m. At this time, there’s no information about the cause of the outage.

Police remind drivers at intersections with traffic lights out to treat it as a four-way stop.
