Woman, 2 kids hurt in Springfield ATV crash

UPDATE @ 10:54 p.m.:

A woman and two children were flown to area hospitals tonight after they were thrown from an ATV.

The 32-year-old driver was taken to Miami Valley Hosptial, and her 7-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old girl were flown to Dayton Children’s Hospital. None of their injuries is considered life-threatening, said Springfield police Sgt. Doug Pergram.

Police and medics were called around 5:30 p.m. after the all-terrain vehicle went off a 40-foot concrete embankment on property in the 2000 block of Lagonda Avenue.

The ATV landed atop the 13-year-old girl, according to the sheriff’s office.

The victims’ names were not released.

Three people were seriously injured this evening in an ATV crash in Springfield.

The woman and two children were riding the all-terrain vehicle around 5:30 p.m. off the road in the 2000 block of Lagonda Avenue, said Springfield police Sgt. Doug Pergram.

“The ATV went off a concrete wall and they were injured, with the ATV landing on one of the persons,” he said.

The three crash victims were taken by medical helicopters to various hospitals in Dayton, he said.

The ages, names and conditions of the victims was not available.
