Hazmat crew called to ammonia spill in Xenia

UPDATE @ 7 p.m.

An ammonia tank being towed by a pickup truck overturned.

The tank may have leaked a small amount of liquid, but no one was reported hurt.

The tank was uprighted shortly after 7 p..m. and was to be loaded onto a truck. The area was expected to be reopened to traffic soon after that.

EARLIER

A hazardous materials crew was called to a crash late this afternoon in Xenia.

Police were called around 6 p.m. to the crash at West Church and West Main streets.

Early scanner traffic indicated a tank of ammonia spilled from one of the vehicles.
