Surveillance captures shots fired during robbery

UPDATE @12:35 p.m. June 3:

Surveillance footage has been released from a Tuesday afternoon robbery at Mor for Less. It shows a child in the store as the robbers fire a weapon and rob the location.

UPDATE @ 10:15 a.m. June 2:

According to Sgt. Charles Anderson, the pair got away with an undetermined amount of cash during a robbery shortly before 9 a.m. today. He confirmed the two left on foot, as far as they know. “Whether a vehicle was set further out is undetermined at this time,” said Anderson.

He said at one of the robbers fired a shot inside the store, “to alert personnel that the robbery was taking place.”

No one was injured.

Anderson said the robbers were described as two black males, however he did not provide a clothing description while they investigate.

FIRST REPORT

Police in Dayton are investigating a robbery at the Mor for Less store, 444 N. James H. McGee Blvd.

Two armed males fired at least one shot inside the store during the robbery shortly before 9 a.m.

Police responded and were working to canvass the area.
