FIRST REPORT

A Kettering teen said his two friends stole his car while he slept – after a night of playing Grand Theft Auto together.

Police said two teen suspects went on a joyride, crashed into five parked vehicles, led officers on a low-speed pursuit for a few blocks, and then ditched the car and ran.

Officers took the passenger into custody in the area of East Stroop Road and Mengle Drive. The driver has not been found, but police have his identity.

The teens reportedly left the car running with damage to its front around 6:30 a.m.

Three parked vehicles on Weston Court were hit, along with two on Longridge Drive, police said.

No one was hurt.
