Man shot near Falmouth Ave. in Harrison Twp.

A man was shot in the leg and rushed to the hospital from Harrison Twp. overnight.

Deputies went out on the report of someone in a blue vehicle with tinted windows speeding down Falmouth Avenue. The caller reported hearing rapid gunfire at the same time.

Deputies found a man being loaded into a van by his family around 11:40 p.m. Medics took that man to Miami Valley Hospital.

Crews found evidence that seven shots had been fired, and reports indicated that people in the neighborhood heard as many as 15 shots.

They say it’s not clear whether the man hit was targeted. No one has been arrested.

Crime scene tape was blocking the area early this morning.
