Kettering police: Someone is trying to steal cars

Kettering police are spreading the word that someone is getting into cars and trying to steal them.

The suspect entered a handful of unlocked vehicles, cracked open the steering column and tried to start the engine, police said.

Reports came in over the weekend from the area of Renwood, Kimberly and Hollendale drives.

No one has been arrested. But as the investigation continues, police are asking everyone to ensure their cars are locked.
