Deputies find ‘dozens’ of shell casings, shot-up car

A report of shots fired at a small business led to the discovery of a car riddled with bullet holes and “dozens and dozens” of shell casings in the parking lot of the business.

Several Montgomery County sheriff’s cruisers were sent to the Napoleon Barber Shop, 4156 Germantown Pike, near the Dayton Correctional Institute, on the call sometime after 9 p.m.

There are cones everywhere in the lot to mark the shell casings.

One deputy said the scene looked out the shootout from the OK Corral.

A sheriff’s sergeant, who declined to be identified by name, didn’t say much about tonight’s investigation. He said the sheriff’s office would offer more information on Friday.

He said deputies dispatched on the shots call found the car, riddled with bullet holes, behind the business that is part of a complex called the Napoleon Palace. Deputies even called for a ladder to climb a tree so they could recover more evidence, likely slugs fired from weapons.

The sergeant said investigators don’t know if anyone was hit or has been injured.
