Dayton man indicted for execution-style murder

Dayton resident Phillip Raziel Sheehon Tyra was indicted Friday for the May 27 shooting death of 24-year-old Triston L. McDonald.

Tyra, 20, was indicted on four murder counts plus other counts of felonious assault, aggravated robbery, carrying concealed weapons and trafficking in marijuana. The most serious counts carry a 3-year gun specification.

Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr. said Tyra was a dealer who shot the victim during a drug deal and that forensic evidence indicates McDonald was shot four times including once in the back of the head.

Tyra is being held on a $1 million bond in the Montgomery County Jail. He is scheduled to be arraigned June 16.
