Dayton gas station robbed

UPDATE @ 4:15 p.m.: Dayton police confirmed a 28-year-old male was arrested in connection to this robbery.

According to a release, an observant officer who was near the Speedway when the robbery happened noticed the suspect leave the gas station and go towards a nearby UDF Store.

Officers apprehended the suspect, who was then identified by the Speedway store clerk, according to police.

A man who robbed a Dayton gas station Friday is reportedly in custody.

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Dayton gas station on Friday.

The robbery was reported at the Speedway on Stewart Street around noon.

Initial reports indicate the man did not display a weapon and handed the cashier a note saying to empty the cash drawer.

A K9 has been requested to the scene.
