An area outside the West Carrollton Police Department is now a designated “safe spot” to exchange goods.
The parking spaces, which are monitored by security cameras, are located at outside the police station at the Civic Center, 300 E. Central Ave.
The spots are in response to requests for a safe area to make exchanges amid the increasing popularlity of online sales on e-commerce sites, such as Craigslist and Gov Deals, according to the police department. A sign marks the area, located in the northern end of the lot behind the Civic Center.
