A Trotwood police officer has been taken to a hospital after suffering minor injuries in a two-car collision on state Route 49 at Shiloh Springs Road.
The Trotwood officer had been dispatched and was heading to a location when the collision occurred, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, which is heading up the investigation.

The collision sent the other car down an embankment, where it ended up near a fence. The accident was reported sometime after 10 p.m.
The investigation is continuing, according to the state patrol.
