At approximately 6:57 p.m., sheriff’s deputies and medics were dispatched to the intersection of Payne Farm and Woodstream lanes on reports of an injury crash.

Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male bicyclist who was injured. The severity of his injuries was not immediately available.

A preliminary investigation indicates the bicyclist was traveling westbound on Woodstream Lane at Payne Farm Lane at the time of the crash, Blackwell said.

The bicyclist failed to stop and hit a 2016 Honda CRV traveling southbound on Payne Farm Lane.

The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment, Blackwell said.

Deputies do not believe alcohol and drugs are a factor in this crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
