Reports: Dayton Dollar General targeted by armed robber

DAYTON — A man has reportedly robbed another Dayton dollar store at gunpoint Friday morning, according to initial reports.

Police were dispatched to the Dollar General location at 2312 North Main Street around 8:40 a.m. after employees reported the robbery.

Initial reports indicate a man entered the store with his head covered by a hooded sweatshirt and displayed a gun before fleeing the area on foot.

Friday’s robbery is the latest in a string of robberies in the Dayton-area where dollar stores were targeted. It was not immediately known if Friday’s robbery was related to previous ones.
