Two overnight power outages in Miami and Montgomery counties remain under investigation, according to a DP&L spokesman.
Around 2 a.m. nearly 2,000 customers in Montgomery County lost power for about 45 minutes due to a fault in a cable, DP&L spokesman Tom Tatham said. Crews are expected to take a closer look at the cause throughout the day.
At 3:30 a.m. 625 customers lost power in Miami County until 5 a.m. due to a fuse that opened up. Tatham said it’s hard to determine what caused the fuse to malfunction, and the cause will be undetermined.

According to DP&L’s online outage map, power has been restored to all of Miami County.
The cause of the outage, as well as the earlier one in Montgomery County, remains unknown.

According to an online DP&L outage map, 625 outages have been reported in Miami County, hours after power was knocked out to nearly 2,000 customers in Montgomery County.
The cause of the outage is not known. Dispatchers for the Miami County Sheriff’s Office said they did not have deputies on any calls that might be the cause of the outage.

A DP&L online outage map reports power has been restored to nearly 2,000 Montgomery County customers following an early morning outage.
The cause of the outage is still unknown.

Nearly 2,000 DP&L customers are without power in Montgomery County, according to an online outage map.
According to Dayton police scanner traffic, the outage was reported on the city’s west side in area of South Edwin C Moses Boulevard and West Third Street.
The cause of the outage was unknown and a call to a DP&L representative was not immediately returned.
