BEAVERCREEK — Dozens of people were ready to go into the Apple store at The Greene Friday morning to get their hands on the new iPhoneX.

The iPhoneX goes on sale today. A line started forming outside the store Thursday.

“Most iPhone launches, they tend to have lines going all around the building,” said Mike Ahern of Centerville, who was in line at the Apple store at The Greene since Thursday morning. “I anticipate a lot of people waiting.”

The iPhone X starts lowest price point is $999 and features a 5.8-inch Super Retina screen, according to Apple’s website.  The phone also features facial recognition to unlock the device.

Ahern is a photographer and says the new phone will help him with his hobby.

“It’s a total upgrade from what I have,” Ahern said.
