Former Vandalia city manager has new job

Rob Anderson, former Vandalia city manager, is now the director of development for the city of Clayton, according to Richard Rose, Clayton's city manager.

Anderson was hired by the city of Clayton on Sept. 23 and started working for the city the next day, according to Rose.

Anderson replaces Gwen Eberly, who left her economic development director's position in June to become an economic development planning manager with Montgomery County.

Anderson resigned as Vandalia's city manager on Nov. 8. His resignation came two months after he entered a guilty plea in Vandalia Municipal Court after being charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence.

The charge was the result of an Aug. 16 traffic stop conducted by an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper. Anderson was ordered to enter into the court's diversion program.

In addition to Anderson, the city of Clayton also hired Lisa Brown, a graduate student at Wright State University as the assistant to the city manager.
