Fire damages Piqua home

UPDATE @ 7:30 a.m.

Firefighters said no occupants were home when fire broke out in their Piqua home Tuesday morning.

Crews were dispatched to the 400 block of East Greene Street around 6:50 a.m. after a passing motorist spotted smoke coming from the house.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation.

It wasn’t known if the occupants would be displaced.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters in Piqua have responded to a reported house fire in the 400 block of East Greene Street Tuesday morning.

Crews were dispatched around 6:50 a.m. and reported smoke and flames showing from the structure.

It wasn’t immediately known if any occupants were inside when the fire broke out.
