Dayton fire crews were dispatched to the area of Woodside Avenue and Courtside Avenue around 3 p.m., according the Dayton Fire Department’s Facebook page.

Firefighters on scene reported seeing flames coming from the front of a one-story building that was determined to be a vacant house, fire officials told News Center 7.

“It’s got quite a bit inside,” said Bob Barnes, Dayton Fire District Chief. “No idea how long it’s been vacant.”

Pictures from the scene show there were several objects removed from the vacant house but were not much of factor in knocking the fire down.

“It’s had multiple additions to it,” he said. “(Firefighters) chopped up a lot just getting to it.
