Stretch of below-normal temperatures continues; Rain, snow flurries arrive overnight

DETAILED FORECAST:

THIS EVENING: It will be partly cloudy this evening and dry but chilly with wind gusts up to 20 to 25 miles per hour. Temperatures will be in the 40s but feel like the 30s.

After midnight, clouds move in along with snow flurries. Snow showers persist through the overnight north of I-70. There will be light accumulations of about 1 inch on grassy and elevated surfaces in the far northern counties.

Temperatures will drop into the mid 30s.

FRIDAY: In the morning we will have some wet snow falling in the northern Miami Valley, possibly giving a wet coating to the grass.

The system will likely be further north, so Dayton metro area will just see a cold rain.

Widespread showers will continue through the afternoon with breezy conditions into the evening. It will start to dry out quickly at night.

SATURDAY: Skies will clear and it looks dry and sunny for the start of the weekend. Highs will be back in the low 50s.

SUNDAY: It’ll be a dry start to the day. Finally, temperatures get back to normal in the low 60s. It will become breezy during the day, with passing rain showers moving back in.

MONDAY: We’ll have a closer to normal day with temperatures starting in the 40s. Sunshine and scattered clouds with highs around 60 degrees. It will be dry from start to finish.

TUESDAY: Expect a mix of sun and clouds. It will be breezy and finally warmer as temperatures return to normal in the lower to mid 60s.
