Showers arrive tonight; widespread rain continues through Thursday

DETAILED FORECAST:

THIS EVE & OVERNIGHT: It will be mostly cloudy and cool this evening, with a slight chance of a passing sprinkle or a light shower early on north of I-70.

Most areas will be dry until tomorrow.

It will become cloudy overnight with some showers moving into the Miami Valley from the southwest as we approach daybreak.

Temperatures will fall to a low in the upper 40s.

THURSDAY: Rain spreads into the area from the southwest during the morning, becoming widespread throughout the day. Heavy downpours at times may lead to reduced visibility.

Winds will become breezy at times and temperatures will be a bit cooler with highs in the upper 50s. Some spots could end up with a quarter to three quarters of an inch of rain. Areas south of I-17 will likely see higher totals. Rain will come to an end Thursday night and temperatures will fall to the middle 40s.

FRIDAY: It will be a partly sunny and milder end to the week, with highs climbing to around 60 degrees.

We will be between two systems, so Friday will stay calm and seasonable, but rain will return for the weekend.

SATURDAY: Another quick storm system arrives bringing more rain to the Miami Valley. Along with rain, winds will increase through the day and highs will be in the upper 50s.

SUNDAY: A pop-up shower is possible during the day, otherwise it will be cloudy and chilly.

Highs will be in the middle 50s and it will be a bit breezy at times.

MONDAY: It will be mostly sunny and breezy Monday, with temperatures a bit below normal but still pleasant in the upper 50s.
